Michael Ventresca ’69 Student Leadership Award. Initiated by members of the 2011-2012 Undergraduate Student Government, the Michael Ventresca ‘69 Leadership Award bestows $1,000 to an undergraduate student who has exemplified on-campus leadership that has directly benefited the undergraduate student body. Michael Ventresca’s legacy represents the very best of UMass Boston. His connection with the Undergraduate Student Government as the first Student Body President, and his example of local service and passion for education brings our organization and this award an added level of prestige for which we are extremely grateful. The recipient is determined in the Fall, for a Spring award. The recipient will be publicly acknowledged at the Distinguished Leadership Awards dinner hosted by the Undergraduate Student Government and the Office of Alumni Relations each April. The recipient of the inaugural Michael Ventresca ’69 Student Leadership Award will be announced at the Alumni Leadership Awards Dinner on April 10, 2012. The recipient of this award is highly encouraged to attend.

This is just a reminder that the 5th and last round of RSO Budgets for the 2010-2011 school year is due this Sunday, March 4th, 2012.

As a reminder, events and maintenance budgets are separate forms and you must submit a request for each individual event.

If you want to have an impact on how this school is run, then run for Student Trustee, USG Pres/VP, a position on the Student Senate, or submit a Referendum Question.

Deadline to submit all forms is Friday, March 23 at 5 pm an Elections are April 2-5th.

All forms are available under the Elections section of this website or in Student Activities, CC 3400.

The last day to submit an online club proposal is this Friday, February 11th. To submit, go to www.clubs.umb.edu, log-in to the system, and click on the "Organizations" tab. You will see a link to "Register a New Organization on the bottom right of that page.

If you submit after the deadline, then the club will not be considered until fall 2012.

This is a reminder that the 4th round of club budgets are due this Friday, February 3rd. Budgets requests will not be approved and loaded until February 24th. All requests should be for no earlier than February 27th and beyond.

There will be one more round of requests on March 2nd.
