The USG holds it's General Elections every spring, as detailed by the bylaws. All senators; the President and Vice President; and the Student Trustee are elected during the general elections. All matriculated undergraduate students are eligible to vote. Eligibility is detailed in the USG Constitution.

Special Elections are held whenever their are vacancies in the Presidency and Vice Presidency; the Student Trustee's office; or over 20% of the Senate.

Spring 2010 was the USG's first popular election of a President and Vice President. We had a record high 11.9% turnout, up from 3% the previous year. Thank you to Albert Chen and our fantastic elections committee for making these elections such a success!
